—God In This Moment
Norway lost too many people on july 22nd, too many young people, too many innocent people. A massive explosion followed by one of the worst massacres in human history done by one person alone (At least that’s what is being told at the moment). With these happenings in mind I’d like to share this song.
The thought here isn’t about being religious, really, that’s not why I’m sharing this. It’s for the feeling of loss and helplessness, of pain and anger, and of confusion and heartbreak. And that at some point I think we all hope for a God. A God to take care of not only ourselves, but in situations like these, the people we’ve lost. And the need some people feel to believe there is a God, or a higher power of some sort, that does take care of us and those we’ve lost all too soon.
My condolences to those who lost someone close on july 22nd and those who died and/or were a part of what happened both in Oslo and on Utøya. Our prayers and thoughts will forever stay with you. Peace is what I hope you will find.
” I cannot, I do not, I will not understand
How all this horror is caused by one man
The daughters, the mothers, the fathers, the sons
How did he decided “Those will be the ones”
The cries and the anger will never decease
As the Norwegian population has been greatly decreased
But we, we will never be frightened to silence
And this, our strength, is also our vengeance
You cannot win over a country like this
No matter how many of people we’ll miss
Our loss will also be our gain
You will never, I tell you, put us in chains
The Norwegian people is stronger than ever
We will fight back whenever, whatever, whoever “
